This photo was taken in Silver Falls State Park on The Trail of Ten Falls. It was a cool autumn morning, and it was raining yellow leaves as wide as basketballs. I was stopped in my tracks by the height of the Douglas-firs and many other trees. I lined up in the shadow of a tree standing in front of the late afternoon sun, and took this photo. It’s one of my favorites!
